What your customer sees
One page. Nothing to install.
They scan the code on your business card and this opens in their browser. Your photo, so they know it is you. Your name and the areas you cover. Then three things they can do, and nothing else to get lost in.
- BookPickup, destination, now or later, name and number. Four fields, one screen.
- CallRings your phone directly. Always there, even when you have marked yourself unavailable.
- MessageOpens WhatsApp with you already in the chat. Good for regulars who would rather type than talk.
And the code at the bottom is theirs to pass on. That is how a good driver gets the next customer.

How it works
From nothing to taking bookings in an evening.
Step 1
Set up your card
Your name, photo, phone, vehicle and service area. Takes a few minutes and you choose your own link, like taxicard.ie/john.
Step 2
Print your QR code
Download it and put it on business cards, in the back of the car, on a flyer. One scan opens your page. Nothing to install.
Step 3
Take bookings directly
A request arrives with pickup, destination and time. You accept or decline. The customer sees the confirmation and your number.
This is not another taxi app
There is no pool of drivers and no matching. A customer who opens your card books you, or nobody. The work you have built up stays yours.
Your own customer list
Every booking builds it. Sarah books you once and you have her number, her usual pickup and her history — recognised automatically the next time, even if she writes her number differently.
Nobody else can see it
Every driver's customers and bookings are walled off at database level, not just hidden in the app. Another driver on TaxiCard cannot reach your list.
Easy for older customers
Big buttons, no login, no download. If they can open a web page, they can book you. And the call button never goes away.
You stay in control
Mark yourself unavailable and your card says so, while still letting people ring you. Accept or decline every job yourself.
Common questions
How do I put TaxiCard on a phone's home screen?
There is nothing to download from an app store. Both the driver dashboard and a driver's card can be saved to a home screen and then open like an app.
For your passengers
They open your card, for example taxicard.ie/john, then:
iPhone — Safari or Chrome
- 1Tap the share button. In Safari it is at the bottom, in Chrome it is beside the address bar.
- 2Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- 3Tap Add. Your card is now an icon with your name on it.
Android — Chrome
- 1Tap the three dots at the top right.
- 2Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app.
- 3Tap Install.
They can also tap Save My Contact on your card to add you straight to their phonebook.
For drivers
Log in at taxicard.ie first, then install from your dashboard:
iPhone — Safari or Chrome
- 1Open taxicard.ie and log in.
- 2Tap the share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- 3Open TaxiCard from that icon, then turn on booking alerts in Profile.
Android — Chrome
- 1Open taxicard.ie and log in.
- 2Tap the three dots, then Install app.
- 3Open it from the icon and turn on booking alerts in Profile.
On iPhone, booking alerts only work from the installed app, not from a browser tab. Install it once and open it from the icon from then on.
Do my customers need an app?
No. They scan your QR code or tap your link and the booking page opens in their phone browser. They can add it to their home screen if they want it handy.
What does it cost?
Nothing while we are building it out. There is no commission on fares and there never will be — the fare is between you and your passenger.
Do I need to be a licensed driver?
TaxiCard is for drivers who already hold an SPSV licence. It is a booking page for the customers you already have, not a way to find new fares.
What happens to my customers' details?
They are stored against your account and only you can see them. You can delete a customer at any time.
